When the lines of work and fun blur, you’re in the sweet spot. Our Stablehands work hard and play harder and we reward them for it. Lovingly called ‘Pipsters’, our all-star staff deserve all the praise they get and to celebrate them all we threw a huge party. The ‘Glaston-perry’ Pipster Party was to celebrate all that is great within The Stable community, our suppliers and most of all, our team. We brought the best of the best together and used the beautiful setting of Fistral Beach to have fun. The Pipster Party was a unique festival-style celebration to say a huge thank-you to those real, natural people that are so important to us and who do so much to make us better.
As part of the celebration, we crowned a Super Pipster – this year’s winner, our Cider Ambassador, Ross Duncan, embodies everything we love about The Stable. He’s friendly, funny, he’s a true cider geek, he’s got great ideas and the energy to carry them through, and he is the best team player. On his win, Ross said “Winning Pipster of the year was a huge surprise; to be voted for by staff was an incredible feeling. I couldn’t do what I do without the great team we have within the business. I thank everyone that voted for me. Definitely feeling the love.”
Head Honcho, David, had a few words too – “It is really important for everyone to celebrate success. The biggest success stories in The Stable come from someone doing something just that little bit extra or Stablehands just being themselves. We are lucky to have some amazing people in The Stable that are not just unique but are encouraged to be so. They are compassionate to their colleagues and customers alike without the need for rules or managing. These great people are known as “Pipsters”, and Pipsters enjoy a good party so that’s why we gave every Pipster this recognition as well as a proper let-your-hair-down Stable Party that everyone will want to attend each year. The LOVE in the room was infectious, the dancing was questionable and the overwhelming support for Ross, our Cider Ambassador and this year’s “Super Pipster” made me feel great, so maybe we should have two Pipster Parties each year…?”
Sure David, sounds like a perfect idea!
To add to the night, we had a photo booth from Smiley Booth Dorset, who dedicated a tree for us at the Woodland Trust in Parc Mawr, Conwy, Wales. DJ and decorations from Ben and Reefe from Masked Ball in Cornwall, and local photographer, Jack Williams, from Falmouth. Our local suppliers were incredibly generous and certainly contributed to the fun had – Gospel Green, Haywood Farm, Jubel Beer, Cornish Orchards, Tarquins Gin, Driftwood Spars Brewery and Hunts Cider.
If you like a good party, want to work hard and love being rewarded, then you could have what it takes to be a Stablehand. Check out the opportunities here.
